Update: Sharing Task Boards

Been excited for this update! You can now make your task boards public. This allows you to share the boards with clients in the portal or with your admins and users on your account.


How to edit settings

Only boards that are assigned to jobs or leads can be shared. To do it is simple! Once the board is added to that job or lead, click the little downward arrow and then EDIT PRIVACY SETTINGS. By default these boards are private and only YOU and your assigned teammates on the job.


Privacy Settings Options

When you edit the privacy settings, two options come up.

ADMIN & ASSIGNED USERS - The default. This is a private board that only you and your assigned teammates can view.
CLIENT PORTAL - This is a shared board with your clients. They will be able to see it in the portal. This will allow them to follow along with you and what you complete. Switching the task board to this setting will also allow them to edit and create tasks as well. Toggling settings for them is not a feature at this time. Great for collab-ing with your clients! Clients will not get an email when you assign them to a board.


Client Portal View

When you have the CLIENT PORTAL selected, the client does not get an alert. If they would like to view the board, they can login to the client portal and under DOCUMENTS of that job, the board will be there. Just send them their portal info!


Your view

You can view the status of a board under the job or lead so you always know what state a board is in.

Client Portals MUST be used to share boards with clients.

Update: Auto Assigning Users in Lead Captures & Quick Inbox

Auto Assigning Users in Lead Captures

You can now auto assign users and teams in the SETTINGS of a lead capture form. When a client fills out your lead capture form, if you have a team member or team set to auto assign, when that lead comes in, it will add to your admin account and auto-assign it to that user/team. Cuts out a lot of work for you!


Quick Inbox

When using conversation mode, before it took about 15 mins for the email reply to be logged after the client emailed back. We have now improved those speeds to about under a minute! :)

New Feature: Client Portal Banner Images

We have just released the update where you can add an IMAGE banner to your client portals instead of just a color. First things first, the size for the image is of the proportions 1800 x 200.

You can set a general portal banner image for all portals OR you can override that and create banner images that are client specific.

To upload your general portal banner image, head to CURRENT BRAND SETTINGS and in BRANDING you can upload your portal banner image here:


Once uploaded, it looks like this:


Now, if you did not want a general one and want client specific ones, you can override that and head to the ADDRESS BOOK on the client's profile and upload their image:

Remember, client portals are CLIENT specific so if you have multiple jobs for the client, there is only one client portal / banner image for them :) This is why the click specific banners are set in the address book. You cannot set client specific banners within a job...it can only be done in the address book.


We have made it so that the banner images fit screens of all size and will resize to fit it!

Update: Updated Text Editor and More

Updated Text Editor

Well, it is a highly anticipated update, but we have a new text editor in Dubsado. Now any past formatting issues are resolved. We put lots of time and love in this new editor...we hope that you enjoy!

New text editor is all over! But here is the new look:

For the font formatting, you click the little paper:




Smart fields have moved to under the smart field button:


With this new text editor everything should run smoother and more consistent with formatting of forms and emails :)

Also with this update we have added the ability for conversation mode to have your signature and formatting options!

New Feature: Inbox Mode

Since releasing conversation mode we thought it would be a helpful addition to have an "inbox" in Dubsado. This way as soon as you login, now you can see if you have new replies and respond in one place. We will be adding more to this feature in some coming updates as well! :)

Update: Payment Schedule Update

We have updated the payment schedule to now add, "after contract has been signed".

We understand that a lot of your invoices really are not valid until the contract has been signed by the client, so we are happy to introduce this little update for you.

Update: Client Portal 2.0

We are excited for this 2.0 release of the portal. Our old one served us well, but we wanted to give a little face lift to make way for all the amazing things we will have coming to it with other future releases.

In this new portal, you can customize the colors of the headers and title font colors. We have organized it a little better so your clients can see all pending / outstanding items on the home screen of the portal as well as the count of incomplete items.

In the documents page of the portal they can see all docs on that job, complete and incomplete, as well as filter through the jobs they are on.

The emails tab will show all emails you have emailed them. They cannot reply back there yet, but you best bet they will with future releases! ;)

And profile is where your client can see their details, plus edit anything if needed.

Now to edit these settings:

To customize the colors on your portal, head to CURRENT BRAND SETTINGS >> BRANDING to set those colors for your portal and even change the logo if you needed to.

Adding External Links to your Portals

You can add outside links into the portal for your client to view. This is perfect for sharing photo gallery links, dropbox links, links to Pinterest boards, etc... :)

Head into a job or lead and click FORMS. In the forms drop down, click Create One-Time Link.

It will pop up with this pop up and you can type in the title of the link and the URL.

Once added, click MARK SENT to send to the portal!

And this is how it will show in the portal:

Change it up and get the color combo you like

Update: ACH Now Open for 1500+ US Banks

Dubsado's ACH with Stripe now has over 1500 US banks added to the list. Before we only had about 10 or so, this is really opens up the options for you and you US clients.

Stripe ACH currently does not have support for international ACH banks, but they did say they are working on it. When they do, we will have it too! ;)

Update: Lead Capture and Workflow Updates

We launched a few new updates today! Now in the SETTINGS of lead capture, you can now specify lead capture funnel and the title of the lead when it comes in!



Also, you can now change the contract and invoice TEMPLATES in workflow! YAY!

Update: One Time Forms

You can now create one-time forms / contracts / proposals within a job or a lead.

If you just want to start from scratch while you are in a job, you can by clicking the FORMS drop down in a job or lead and select what you want to make.


Of course, when done, you can save it just to that job OR save as template if you love it and want it as a template.

New Feature: Gratuity / Tipping for Clients

We have just released the option for your client to tip you.

Under the receiving money tab, you can toggle the settings on tipping. By default it is off.



You can use this with any processor and toggle it on or off globally. If turned on globally, tipping can be turned on or off per job, but not for different invoices within the same job.



Then, when the client goes to pay that invoice, if enabled, they are given the option to tip :)

We are VERY excited to have just launched our integration with Quickbooks Online. This has been a popular request for bookkeeping integration (do not worry, for those that use other bookkeeping systems, we will be adding more later).

New Feature: Form File Uploader

File uploader is here and super easy to use! Now in Questionnaires, Proposals, and Lead Capture forms your clients can upload files! Drag and drop that FILE UPLOADER element into your form and it allows them to upload away.


If you click on that uploader in edit mode it will pop up with options. If you only want you clients to be able to upload one item or images only, you can toggle that here:



Once in your form, your clients have the option to upload as many files as they want. Limit per file is 8mb.
